China Glaze "Lorelei's Tiara"

As some of you know, I do surveys online for extra money. Some send checks to my house, some go to my Paypal account, and others give Amazon gift cards. I just got an Amazon gift card and got a bunch of beauty products (which I'll show you in another post). My absolute favorite that I got during this little Amazon haul, was a nail polish by China Glaze called "Lorelei's Tiara". It is the most gorgeous glitter polish with silver and blue glitter. I put silver under the polish before painting my nails but there is so much glitter you don't even have to. You could do two coats and your nails will be completely covered in glitter. This is my new favorite polish. Here are some pics:

Home Sweet Home... Apartment Tour

As promised, I'm going to post some pics of our new place. We have a roommate, like I said before he's super sweet and easy to get along with. I really love the area we're in because any store you could possibly need to go to is a 5 minute drive or less from our apartment. Our complex is really big. We have this walking trail that's made up of sidewalk/all these bridges and gazebos. There is water running along the whole thing and there is a huge fountain in the middle. Lexi loves taking walks there because there are a bunch of frogs/ducks/fish in the water. We have mutant frogs here LOL I've never seen frogs so big in my life. They're the size of a small squirrel, no joke. We have a really nice exercise room and a pool but obviously the pool is closed for the year. Here are the pics:

The walkway up to our building (at night).

The stairs leading into our building (that we never use because our patio door is right on the left side.)

Our front door (from the inside).

The big mirror next to the stairs/front door (I love it!!).

The view of the dining room from the stairs.

Our dining room table.
The kitchen sink/counter/view of our dining room/front door from the kitchen.

The track lighting in the kitchen... I love track lighting.
The other side of the kitchen/fridge.

The view from the bathroom door.

Toilet && shower.

again (view of the shower curtain).

The big fountain in the middle of the walking path.

Exercise room (this pic was taken from the Forest Cove website).
I didn't take pics of the living room because a lot of our stuff was in there and it was messy as hell. Lol. Obviously I'm not going to take pics of our roommates room either-- that's an invasion of privacy... I really miss living in Itasca but it's nice to be on our own. I'll get used to not living in Itasca, it'll just take time.

I'm really proud of Tom and myself, it's nice to see our hard work finally paying off. He's working like crazy, I'm doing some work && looking for a full-time job. It's nice to see things finally starting to come together when they usually just seem to fall apart. It's also great to prove my haters wrong and to motivate people and show them that hard work and persistence does pay off in the end... Maybe a little bit of good karma helped too. ;)

Thank you to everyone that has supported me throughout all this, especially my mom. I don't know what I'd do without her. She tried to keep me positive && was my shoulder to cry on many times in the past few months. She kept telling me that everything would work out && I wouldn't be miserable forever. I love my mom and I love our bond and am so happy that I have someone that I can always count on, no matter what. She is always there to listen, she'll never backstab me or screw me over, she won't use me, she loves me unconditionally && I don't know where I'd be without her. Thanks mama.

Tarte Clean Slate Deluxe Primer Trio Review

Thanks for bearing with me ladies! I know it's taken a while to get this review up but I've been so busy with moving and a bunch of other stuff. Now for the review...

I wanted to try Tarte primers but didn't want to drop $30 on a primer that I had never tried before and might not even like. I decided to buy the Deluxe Primer Trio on Amazon instead (trial sizes) and see what these products were all about.

Clean Slate Poreless:
Tarte Clean Slate Poreless Primer
This was my favorite of the 3 primers. (It's in the purple tube.) It is silicone based and I love the consistency. It's a thick, clear gel. It made my skin so silky smooth and really gave me a great "canvas" to work with. It definitely improved the amount of time that my foundation stayed looking fresh. I have acne prone skin and this did not make me break out at all. It didn't make my face greasy or shiny, as a matter of fact it seemed to help control my oily skin. I noticed a matte effect after using this primer. I didn't notice a difference in the size of my pores but I was so happy with all of the other benefits of this primer that I didn't care. I would definitely recommend this to everyone, it's great for all skin types and really does improve the look and feel of your skin.

Clean Slate Flawless:

This primer has a more lotion-like consistency than the other one. It also has a fresh citrus scent that I like. This seems more like a moisturizer than a primer to me. It definitely is moisturizing but if you have oily skin I'd be careful with it because it could make your face a little greasy. I didn't break out after using this primer. It didn't do much for my skin as far as brightening, but I would assume that if you have very fair skin it would brighten it a little. I would recommend this primer to someone with either dry skin or normal skin.

Clean Slate 360° Creaseless 12-Hr Smoothing Eye Primer:

The Creaseless eye primer did what it was supposed to do. I was a bit surprised by the consistency because it was thinner and more watery than I was expecting. After applying it, I didn't think it would work very well but I was wrong. It helped keep my eye makeup looking great for a long time. I'm not sure if it would last 12 hours but each time I used this I wore my makeup for 8+ hours and it didn't budge. You only need a very small amount of this product, if you go overboard it could make your eyelids a little greasy. You can use this on your eyelids and under your eyes. This is a good eye primer but I wouldn't pay $19 for the full size bottle. I still prefer my Urban Decay Primer Potion.

I'm always taking requests for product reviews. Keep em' coming!! :)) I hope my review was helpful. Don't forget to comment!!

Picture Time...

Hey everyone :)

I wanted to share some pictures I've taken recently. We've been getting settled into our apartment and now we're getting back into our normal routine. We have 2 gazebos, a few bridges, and a walking path in our apartment complex. There is a pond and tons of frogs/ducks/little fish. Lexi loves taking walks around there and it's great exercise for me too! Here are some pics:

Lip Butter Bitches!!

Hiiii my beautiful readers,

I am happy to announce that I finally jumped on the Revlon Lip Butter bandwagon!! I don't know why I didn't try this product earlier, because I am obsessed with it now. I wanted to post some pics and do a quick review on it.

I bought Revlon Colorbust Lip Butter in the shade "065 Creamsicle" from Walmart for $6.48. Here are some pics:

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter (065 Creamsicle)

As clear as I could get it...

Gorgeous nudish-pink color.

Again (with flash this time).
When I got home from Walmart I wanted to try it right away. I swatched it on my hand first and I was pleasantly surprised with the consistency. It was so smooth. It glided on my lips like butter (no pun intended). If a chapstick, lipgloss, and lipstick had a threesome and made a baby, they would have a lip butter. Lip butters have the moisturizing benefits of a chapstick, the shine of a gloss, and the color/pigmentation of a lipstick. It's not super long lasting but it does last for a few hours. After wearing this daily for about a week now, I've noticed that my lips are a lot softer and more moisturized. I picked the shade I did because I was looking for a light colored nude lipstick. Although when you take the top off and you look at the actual product, it looks orangey, it's not at all. When it's on your lips it will show up as a nudish pink color. Overall I love Revlon Lip Butter and can't wait to get more!! Try it for yourself if you haven't already!! Don't forget to comment and feel free to contact me if you want me to try out and review another product. :)

All Moved In

Sorry I've been completely neglecting my blog but we've been in the process of moving for the last few weeks. It's nice being on our own in an apartment but there are a lot of unexpected costs that have come up. We spent almost $2000 in the last month on moving costs, the hotel we had to stay at for a week, our storage unit, things we needed, etc. That's not even including rent!! Tom has been working full time and we've been saving so hopefully our bank account will get replenished soon because it's looking pretty pathetic after all this. ;) I'm supposed to be starting a job as a caretaker for an elderly man soon but I'm not sure exactly when. It will help a lot to have two incomes. Our roommate is super sweet. He's really laid back and quiet, I think we'll get along with him really well. Hopefully Lexi doesn't scare him too much, LOL, I know she can be a lot to handle at times.

I have a few blog posts that I've been working on but none of them are completely finished yet. I should have at least 1 new one up by the end of the day tomorrow. I've been trying new products and have some reviews. I got a request to do a review for a primer by Tarte so I bought it and I'm almost done with editing the pictures and review. Keep an eye out for that. :) I'm back online for good now so keep the requests coming and don't forget to leave comments and feedback!!
