Nails of the Week -- 12/29/13 "Snow Sparkle"

 Happy Holidays everyone!!

I hope you all had a great Christmas (or whatever you celebrate)!! Mine was pretty good. I'll have a separate blog post up about that soon. :) Christmas is my favorite holiday and I love decorating and being festive. One of the ways I like to express my holiday spirit is through my nails. I wanted to show you all what I did with my nails this week.

I wasn't sure what to title this post because even though I do paint my nails every week (at least once a week), I don't always post photos of them. I should probably start doing this more. Ahhh, the life of a procrastinator. Lol. :)

Anyway, I got really bored yesterday and decided to do something different with my nails. After re-doing each thumb nail about 4x, I finally got them as close as they were going to get to looking presentable.

My sparkle snowflake nails...

A closer look...

Products used:

Rimmel London 60 Second Top Coat --210 Mintilicious

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri -- Clearly Quick

Sally Hansen French Manicure -- 1 Natural White

Essie Multi Dimension Top Coat -- Set In Stones
How I Did It:

1.) First, I used 2 coats of "Mintilicious" as a base for all of my nails.

2.) Next, I added "Set In Stones" to my two ring finger nails.

3.) After that, I concentrated on my thumb nails. I used "Natural White" to draw a few small snowflakes on both nails. The brush that comes with this polish is really slim so it made it easier to make the snowflakes. It still took a few tries though before they looked good enough for me. Lol. When I was done putting the snowflakes on my nails, I used the same polish and same brush to draw small dots around the snowflakes.

4.) Lastly, as always, I used "Clearly Quick" as a top coat over all of my nails. I never paint my nails without using this because it makes them dry to the touch within 90 seconds and completely dry within a few minutes. It also helps seal the color and makes polish last longer. This is one of my favorite top coats.

Have you used any of these polishes? Did you do anything special to your nails for the holidays? Let me know in the comments below. :)

I was really surprised at how much stuff they sell-- you can find almost anything on the website!! The best part is that their prices are so inexpensive!!

New Victoria's Secret Leggings

Over the weekend my fiance, daughter && I went to Woodfield Mall. I love Woodfield because it's huge (one of the most popular malls in the country) && I know it like the back of my hand. ;) (I can thank my shopping obsession for that.) I had some gift cards to spend from my birthday && Tom wanted to look at some hoodies && new shoes at Champs. I only ended up using one of my gift cards && holding onto the rest.

The first store we went into and the only store I ended up making a purchase from was Victoria's Secret Pink. It's definitely one of my favorite stores && I have to show extreme restraint to not make a purchase there every time I go in. Lol. I can't help it!! Everything in that store is either pink, sparkly, leopard print, etc. && those are some of my favorite things.

Anyway, after browsing the store for a while I decided to try on some leggings I found. I always do the hand test with leggings before I even think about buying them. If I can see my hand through them I won't buy them. The leggings I picked up are super thick and when I tried them on they were SO comfy. The material was soft, thick, and you could tell that the leggings were made with high quality materials. Usually I'm not impressed enough by basic leggings to write a blog post about them but these are the highest quality leggings I've ever owned and I know how hard it can be to find GOOD, quality leggings. I wanted to share with you guys in case you were looking for some.

Price wise they're pretty expensive. As you can see, they are basic black leggings with shiny metallic detailing down the sides. Normally I wouldn't pay $24.50 for leggings but they're a staple piece that you can wear all year long. It's a small investment-- you get what you pay for. These are the type of leggings that you can wear as pants && get away with it. It really drives me crazy when girls wear see through leggings as pants. No one wants to see your entire ass lol. Let me take that back--no other woman wants to see that. The leggings I bought are completely solid and worth every penny.

If you're looking for high quality, comfortable && cute leggings, I highly suggest you go check out the leggings at Victoria's Secret PINK. You'll thank me later. ;)

Urban/Street Style Obsessed;;

Happy (early) Thanksgiving to all of my beautiful readers!! :)

I just wanted to write a quick post about some of the current things I'm loving. My personal style is very versatile. One day I can wear something that is very feminine and chic and the next day I'll wear a snapback and some J's and feel just as sexy. Lately I've found myself veryyy into urban/street style. I always have been, but more so lately than ever before. Here are some things that I'm loving:

Nike Women's High Dunk Skinny -- Leopard
These shoes are amazing and definitely on my Christmas wish list. Since my 5 year anniversary with my fiance is today, my 25th birthday is next week, and Christmas is less than a month away, I see these babies in my near future. ;)

Nike Air Heels
These are awesome too. They're really unique and if I can get my hands on them, you best believe they'll be mine. I'm on the hunt! Lol.

Dope Snapback
Another thing I've been obsessed with lately is hats/snapbacks. I'll never own enough. Leopard print snapback? I'm there!!

Act Like A Lady Shirt
My motto. :) Love this shirt.

Trust No Bitch Tee
Another tee that I'm obsessed with, I'd love to get this if I can get my hands on it.

These are just a few of the things I'm loving at the moment. What is your personal style like currently?? Let me know in the comments below. :) Have an amazing Thanksgiving!!

Nails of the Week featuring Essie "Set in Stones" and CoverGirl "Forever Frosted". . .

Here is another post that I've wanted to post for the past week but haven't been able to. It's just a quickie showing my NOTW featuring my new polish, Essie "Set in Stones". CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss "Forever Frosted" is the nude color underneath. I noticed I've been reaching for this polish more and more, it looks great by itself or as a base polish.

Final product:

I couldn't get a great photo with my phone. The Essie polish is actually a really sparkly silver, and it looks more black in these photos. Here's a better pic:

Have a great weekend, beauties! I know I will. ;)

Target && Sephora Haul -- NYX, Essie, && more!!

Hiiii Beauties,

I don't know what's going on with me lately. I've been purchasing so many products that I've heard about primarily through blogs and YouTube. I just can't stop!! I love trying out products that have good reviews. A lot of the time I end up loving them myself and repurchasing them. Let me know in the comments below what some of your favorite products are and what beauty products you think I should try. :)

Let's get it:

Here is what I bought:

I purchased 3 NYX lip products at Sephora. I had a gift card and decided that I might as well use it because it's been sitting in my wallet forever.

--NYX Matte Lipstick in MLS17 Sweet Pink
This was actually an accident, lol. My daughter put this in my basket while I was swatching the other NYX matte lipsticks. I noticed we had it while I was checking out and decided to buy it anyway. Sweet Pink is actually more of a pinkish purple color...close to fuschia. It's SUPER pigmented. I don't have any lipsticks that are even close to this color. Usually I don't wear anything this dark on my lips but I wanted to venture out of my comfort zone and try something new. It's also fall and dark lip colors are very popular right now. Remember, this is a matte lipstick so you can only wear it when your lips are hydrated and not chapped. Matte lipsticks can be drying on your lips and if they're chapped at all you'll end up looking like you have snakeskin lips.

**TIP: Before putting this lipstick on, I use my toothbrush to get any dry/dead skin off of my lips. I keep a separate toothbrush just for this. I wet the toothbrush a tiny bit and scrub my lips while putting light pressure on the brush. Afterward I apply my favorite lip moisturizer,  let it soak in for a few minutes, and then apply this lipstick. Doing this makes my lips look so soft and pouty, I love it  :)

--NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in 101A Sugar Pie
I have heard about this lip gloss for suchhh a long time. For my everyday makeup look I usually wear a nude lip and this gloss will go perfectly over my nude lip butter. It's a very creamy consistency and lasts for a while. The best part is that it smells SO frickin good. It seriously smells good enough to eat!!

--NYX Butter Gloss in Merengue
This is another lip product I've heard people rave about. It's such a beautiful color. I would describe it as a baby pink with a purple tint. Once again, this lip butter smells amazinggg and I'm tempted to eat it. (Not really though, lol, but it does smell delish.) I noticed that it's pretty hydrating and it made my lips feel super soft && smooth.

Left to Right: Sweet Pink, Merengue, && Sugar Pie.

I was browsing through my favorite section in Target (the makeup section,  duh. Lol.) and this beautiful sparkly polish caught my eye. I bought the Essie polish in "Set in Stones". It's part of Essie's new fall collection. It's all silver sparkles in all different sizes. It was a little pricey (around $9) but it's so beautiful that it was worth every penny. Being the total nail polish addict that I am, I had to use it the second I walked in the door. I'm doing a separate post with my "Nails of the Week" featuring this polish. :)

I really needed some good lotion because this cold weather has really been taking a toll on my skin. Gold Bond products are awesome so I picked the Eczema Relief lotion. It looked like the most moisturizing of all the Gold Bond products.  I'm really pleased with my purchase. It is really thick lotion and makes my skin super soft. I keep it in my purse because I love it so much. My fiance has superrr dry snakeskin hands (lol) from work and this lotion even made HIS hands soft, which is a miracle. If you're looking for a lotion that is extremely moisturizing, inexpensive, and great at healing dry/cracked skin, I would definitely recommend this lotion to you. There's no other way to describe it than say that it's a miracle in a bottle.

The last thing that I bought was also from Target. I have a huge zit right in between my eyebrows. It looks SO ridiculous. I can cover it pretty well with makeup but just knowing that it's there drives me friggin crazy. I had to destroy the little bastard for good, so I bought Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Vanishing Treatment Cream. It has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide in it, which was way more than any of the other products had in it. I've used it a few times so far and it's shrinking little by little. I can't wait til it's gone completely because it's hideous. Do any of you use rapid clearing acne treatments? What's your favorite one?

That's it for my random little haul. I'm really happy with everything I bought. Have you ever used any of the products that I mentioned? What are some products that you think I should try out? Let me know in the comments below. ;) Thanks for reading ladies,  I appreciate it more than you know!!

xo, Sarah

PS- You guys have NO idea how long this post took to publish. I started about a week ago but my phone was acting crazy and kept deleting my photos. I lost my digital camera cord so I had to use my phone. I took the photos about 5x each and got sick of it and just used photos for most of the products from other sites. The first photo, however, is mine. xo

Razzle Dazzle Me Jewelry Review

Hello Lovelies,

I am excited to review a jewelry company called Razzle Dazzle Me. The owner, Roslyn LaDuke, was sweet enough to let me choose three pieces from her Etsy store for me to . I chose an ear cuff, a ring, and a midi ring. After I chose my items, she quickly shipped them. The jewelry was shipped from Tennessee to Chicago (where I'm from) and I was very impressed with how quickly my package arrived.

Upon opening the envelope, I was pleasantly surprised at the adorable packaging. Everything was very organized and protected well so that nothing broke during shipping process. If you want to know what I thought of the jewelry, keep reading. :)

Each item came individually wrapped very carefully.

Unique feather ear cuff.
Closer view of the feather ear cuff.
The feather ear cuff is my favorite of all the things I was sent. I did a haul a while back where I showed you all a bow ear cuff that I had purchased. When I bought that, I fell in love with ear cuffs. They are so unique and I always get compliments when I wear them. This particular ear cuff from Razzle Dazzle Me is very well made. It's made out of silver and it's definitely a high quality piece. It's very comfortable to wear as well. I had it on all day today and it didn't bother me at all. It's a beautiful set and you can't beat the price. You can purchase the same set from Roslyn's Etsy store (Razzle Dazzle Me) for $10.00.

Adjustable Sterling Silver Midi Ring

The next item I want to show you is the sterling silver adjustable midi ring. It looks so cute and it fits right above your knuckle. It's a small piece but it adds a little something extra to your look. This is another well made, sturdy piece. This ring is only $11 at Razzle Dazzle Me.

Black and Silver Rosette Ring

I like this ring as well. The craftmanship on this ring is amazing. You can tell that the shop owner puts a lot of time and effort into making her merchandise. The detail in this ring surprised me, you can see the shape of the rose petals, etc. and it makes the ring even more beautiful. There are no sharp edges and it's very comfortable to wear. I wore it all day yesterday and had no problems. I actually almost went to bed with it on because I forgot I had it on. Most rings will start to annoy me after wearing them for a few hours but this ring is so lightweight and comfortable that I forgot I had it on! You can purchase the same ring from Razzle Dazzle Me on Etsy for $9.

Overall I was very pleased with all of the pieces Roslyn sent me. They were all beautiful, unique, and high quality. Her Etsy website has something for everyone. There are feathered ear cuffs in all different colors, beautiful midi rings, misc ear cuffs in all colors/shapes/sizes, beautiful necklaces, and so much more. I will be purchasing from her store soon because I am so in love with the items that she sent me. Roslyn was also kind enough to give me a coupon code for my readers to get 10% off! You have to use the code YES10 at checkout to receive 10% off of your purchase price. Make sure to check out Razzle Dazzle Me asap. You won't be disappointed.
