L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Review

Happy Spring everyone!

I'm so happy to finally be in spring. It's definitely my favorite season and I've been loving the weather lately. It's definitely been warming up! I've been asked a lot (both through this blog and on my personal Facebook page) to do a review on the new L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover foundation, so I thought I'd do that today.

Unfortunately, I have very acne prone combination skin. I've gotten it under control lately compared to a few years ago, but it's still not perfect. I still break out and have some blemishes here and there and some acne scarring, so I almost always use a full coverage foundation. I was using the Kat Von D Lock It foundation but it's a little pricey so I don't like to use it everyday. When I saw that L'Oreal came out with a new full coverage foundation, I had to try it. I bought mine at CVS for $11. They have a good range of shades, going from ivory to cocoa. I sometimes have problems in the winter finding a light enough shade for me without pink undertones, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a perfect match (#303). I was also very pleased with the price. It claims: "You can get up to 24 hours of full coverage with a lightweight feel and a natural finish! Blends instantly to cover dark spots, blemishes, scars, and hyperpigmentation for a flawless complexion."

First impressions...

The first thing I noticed when swatching it on my hand, was that it's very thick. You have to squeeze the tube pretty hard to get it out. A little bit goes a long way.  Luckily it didn't feel very heavy on my face. I wouldn't say it's very lightweight, but it doesn't feel like a mask either. It's somewhere in the middle. I would, however, definitely suggest using a good moisturizer and/or primer before applying this because it will stick to dry skin and make it very noticeable. This product has a demi-matte finish. It does do a wonderful job covering imperfections. I barely have to use concealer when I use this. My t-zone and chin can get pretty oily throughout the day, so I did have to touch up my setting powder a couple times, but that happens with any foundation.

Final thoughts...

I'm really impressed with L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover, and have been using it almost daily. It's become a drug store favorite of mine. Unfortunately the tube is only 1 oz., so it runs out pretty quickly. That would probably be my biggest complaint. I would give this product a 9/10 and would recommend it to anyone with oily or combination skin, acne prone skin, and/or skin discoloration that is looking for a full coverage foundation that is long lasting.

Have you ever tried the L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover foundation? If so, what did you think of it? Let me know in the comments below. Hope you all have a wonderful week! ๐Ÿ’–

  6. I've heard of this make-up before, it sounds very nice. Finding a good foundation is tricky. Right now, I'm using Clinique at Macy's. : )

Enjoy the Spring days while they last.

    1. Ooh, I've used Clinique skin care (I buy it at Macy's as well.) but have never used their foundation. I really love their mascara and lip products, so I'm sure I'd love the foundation as well. Is there a certain foundation you suggest?

    1. Hi Launna!

I love L'Oreal too, they are one of my favorite drug store brands. As long as you use a good moisturizer and a good primer with this, you should be OK. ๐Ÿ™‚ My skin is weird, like my t-zone, chin, and nose are SUPER oily, but then other parts of my face are as dry as a desert, lol, but as long as I use a good moisturizer and primer, it always ends up looking great. ๐Ÿ‘Œ I'm definitely over the snow too. Luckily here it's just been rainy lately. I hate the rain too but I'll take it over snow any day. lol. Stay warm! Hope you're having a great week.

    1. Awe. That's crappy. ๐Ÿ™ I'm the 2nd to lightest shade (303). It's a great foundation, I would definitely look into ordering it online if you're interested in trying it. Thanks for stopping by, I'm going to check out your blog now!

    2. I'll try to check amazon.com - usually L'oreal in USA has more colours than the European ones. If you'll need any help with italian amazon just let me know - they add this series of lipsticks couple times per month and right now probably all the shades are available :)

    3. Ooh awesome, thank you, and I probably will be needing your help just so I don't mess anything up, LOL. I would assume they're pretty similar but sometimes the translations aren't exactly correct and one little error can mess things up pretty badly. haha.

    1. Yes, I absolutely love it. It really is total coverage, and it's comparable to the Kat Von D Lock It Foundation. :) Total Cover is a great dupe for that. I definitely will keep in touch! <3

  16. I haven't tried this one but I'm curently testing/using the 24hrMatte
I have combination skin as well and my worst spot is my nose. It gets so shiny after 3 hours or so. I'm all matte and then the tip of my nose is a shining star! lol
