Helloooo my beautiful babies,
I haven't done a review in quite a while so I thought I'd do one on a new product I picked up the other day. I was at Walmart and saw the Loreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer. I had tested it out before and loved it but wasn't sure that it was worth the $10+ price tag. Well, I caved and bought it a few days ago. Here are my thoughts on it:
Loreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer- Walmart $10.97 |
Packaging: The first thing I noticed was the packaging. I'm a sucker for pretty packaging. I definitely prefer beauty products that come in a bottle with a pump because it's a lot more sanitary. At first I thought the bottle was a bit small for being over $10, but once I tested it out, I realized you really don't need to use much at all. A little goes a long way with this product.
Price: Like I mentioned above, I thought it was a bit pricey for such a small bottle, but once I used it I changed my mind. It's definitely worth the $10 I spent on it.
Product: The product itself is great. I usually use higher end primers, (as my loyal subbies know, I love my Tarte primer) but I had heard such great things about this primer, so I had to try it for myself. The consistency is comparable to a light body lotion. It's thick enough that it moisturizes well and is thin enough that you don't feel like you're spreading cement on your face. The Magic Lumi primer does give off a brightening effect (thanks to the luminizer), and made my skin look so much less dull and more vibrant after the first use. I was very surprised. I have combination skin and was a bit worried that it would make my trouble spots more oily, but it didn't. It just evened everything out and made my skin look very healthy and refreshed. I'll definitely be using this in my everyday routine, because I really love how it makes my skin look. Unlike some primers, it doesn't have that horrible chemical smell. I actually don't smell anything when I smell this primer. Here is what the actual product looks like:
I realize that the picture above could look SO wrong, but I wanted to show you the consistency. Pictured above is 1 pump of the Loreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer.
Normally I just use this all over my face to prep and prime, but I've also used it as a highlight. I put a little on the top of my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, cupid's bow, under my eyes, and right under my brow bone. It's really a 2-in-1 product.
Comments: After using this product for a few days, I'm still just as impressed if not more impressed with it. It has made my skin noticeably smoother and brighter. I would recommend this to anyone that needs a brightening boost && as I mentioned, it works well with any skin type.

ReplyDeleteHave a fab weekend!!!!
I love the texture of his primer, I swatched at the drugstore and it just feels so... I don't know, just great. Unfurtunatly, I have oily skin, so anything with light in the name, it's a no-no for me

The texture is what really got me! I have combination skin that can sometimes get pretty oily and I noticed that a little goes a long way with this product and if I just use a little bit, it ends up looking amazing. :)

Thanks for the comment. :)
DeleteI just started using primers about a year ago and now I'm obsessed. They really do make a difference in how long your makeup stays put and how the final product ends up looking. You have to prime and prep your canvas before you can create art. ;) haha.

This sounds like such a good primer for a drugstore brand. I may have to try this out. Thanks for sharing!
